Nectria Estate

 

The canis Nectria family maintain a large compound nestled between the warehouses on the docks and the shops that front on the Stradia Di Frontiera. The entire estate is surrounded by a low stone wall in coursed rubble masonry, with wrought iron fencing running along the top. The wall is barely two meters high, and is trivially circumvented by even the modestly fit.

On the grounds are seven major structures. The main house is a two-storey limestone structure with a somewhat dreary appearance. Next to it is a guest house constructed in course masonry that is much more enchanting in its style. There are stables for the family’s horses and carriages, a guard house at the gate, a grain silo that has long since been converted into a second guest house or tower or potentially an observatory (the function of the structure seems to change depending on who you speak with). Toward the South are the two large wooden barracks that function as housing for the staff and servants.

Since the beginning of the outbreak, the Nectria Estate has been closed to visitors, and no one is permitted to enter or leave. They claim they have seen no infections though some people question whether or not this is because they maintain a secret reserve of potions or scrolls that they have refused to share with those in need.

Additionally, on the evening of 18 Trowel, Beatriche Nectria - aunt to Gavriela and Caliban - was attacked by the ghost while out of the main house reading in a pergola. She remains quite distraught, and Corporal Caliban Nectria will attempt to shield her from interrogation and manage her conversations if possible.
