Dom Pawel Nectria
Pawel Nectria is the patriarch of the powerful Nectria family in Cosutanu. A canis man of 35 years (equivalent to 70 for a human), he is quite old, but is remarkably sharp and fit. He dresses well, but not ostentatiously, in fitted suits of silk and cotton. He has a strict, disciplined demeanour, and he is a careful listener. He wears a black silk sash around his waist and his silver cufflinks are of a crossed shovel and scythe; the symbols of Golmongarion, as an indication of his mourning.
Under most circumstances, Pawel will receive the players along with his wife, Tamara. She is much younger than he, perhaps not even 25 (less than 50 human years). Even with middle age setting in, she is quite beautiful, and perhaps was extrordinarily so in her youth. Tamara is dressed in a black silk gown with a black veil, and wears a large jeweled brooch in the image Golmongarion himself. She is unlikely to speak, even if directly addressed.
Dom Pawel Nectria and Doma Tamara Nectria can be found at the Nectria Estate.
TOPIC: paperwork from the Bank of Bulostioi (Ignaciu Zgeseanu only)
Both Pawel and Tamara Nectria will be present if Ignaciu Zgeseanu comes to conduct the business the Bank. They will accept whatever condolences are offered, sign the necessary paperwork and accept the financial instrument offered by the bank. If everything goes smoothly, and the proceedings are not rudely interrupted, Pavel will conclude with;
PAWEL NECTRIA
You have blessed our home, and brought great honor upon yourself with your eloquence and propriety. I know well the deeds and the word of your family, and it pleases me to feel them echo in you. In this time of great sorrow for my own family, your grace and courage brightens our door, and I look forward to a mutually beneficial future.
TOPIC: candidacy of Iordan Mitriu to replace Gavriela Nectria
If Ignaciu Zgeseanu inquires about Iordan Mitriu and his candidacy for the position at the Grain Bank, Pawel will not be shy to share his disdain for the boy.
PAWEL NECTRIA
Ah, yes, the Mitriu boy. Why does it not surprise me to hear his name in the same sentence as the word ‘opportunity’? Ha ha ha! Tell me, do you know the fable of the bricklayer and the shoe? Bricklayer runs out of bricks while building a house. Decides to use shoe to fill the hole and finish the job. It works. They put up the roof, the family moves in. Great. Soon enough, house falls down and everybody dies. My daughter was a brick. That boy has always been a shoe. You are the bricklayer, do what you like - I have no other bricks to give you. Thank you for your time.
TOPIC: stash of Cure potions or scrolls
If anyone asks about whether the Nectria's have any cure potions or scrolls, Pawel will be insulted, but will not be aggressive about it. If this line of questioning lands atop other insults or accusations, he will simply excuse himself and his wife, and the butler, Luca Istrate will lead the player characters off of the ground.
PAWEL NECTRIA
Ridiculous. If we maintained such a reserve of potions or scrolls that would help the people, we would have turned them over to the town council immediately. We have no interest in seeing this plague spread any further.
