The Mythmaster Character Generator is currently in early beta and has several known issues, several of which are serious, and can cause the loss of a character in progress. These issues are all currently under investigation and will be fixed as quickly as possible.

HOT FIX NOTIFICATIONS:

Prior to version 2.4 (March 15, 2025), Hot Fixes may be required for character JSON files. If you have an older character JSON, you must apply Hot Fixes that are more recent than your character JSON file in chronological order.

CHARACTER PORTING:

For characters up to date to version 2.4 you must update your character json file to be compatible with version 2.5 by using the Character Porting Tool.

CRITICAL ISSUES:

• (!! LOSS OF CHARACTER !!) any page refresh resets entire script
• no support for purchasing weapons, equipment, or otherwise filling out the rest of the character sheet
• no automated process exists for exporting character to PDF or spreadhseet for finishing / printing

 

Here is a spreadsheet template you can use if you wish to move your character to an editable file format that can be exported to a clean and readable pdf for tabletop use.

I understand that I could invest my time in creating a character only to lose my progress due to one of these issues.

I would like to continue to the Character Generator anyway!
