Yellow Road
The road that intersects the Stradia di Frontiera directly in front of Ul Grau E Rota, and runs south out of town is marked with stone as the Cale Galben, or Yellow Road. The road runs past the entrance to the Mitriu estate and into the woods, where it quickly becomes overgrown. Most people around town will be able to explain that the road is so called due to ‘ul mina puciosa’ or ‘the old brimstone mine’ as they call it in Comerta. Ul Mina Puciosa lies about 30 km south of the village, but given the unkempt nature of the road, this would likely be a full day’s ride.
CHALLENGE
21C using Naturalist or Mining skillAnyone who walks more than twenty to thirty meters up the road past the edge of the village can roll a 21C using Naturalist or Mining to notice yellowish rocks and dirt in the overgrown roadbed. This is sulphur which appears to come from a nearby mine, and which has facilitated the growth of a lush bed of healthy greenery all along the length of the road, which will make it difficult and slow to travel.
CHALLENGE
21C using Tracking skillAnyone who actively looks for tracks and succeeds a 21C using the Tracking skill can find recent horse tracks on the road. These tracks are an important piece of evidence.
