Jamahal Jandhagosh
Description:
Jamahal Jandhagosh was a tauran wizard and a knight born in Mudinak in 590. He was the eldest child and heir to the lands and titles of House Jandhagosh, who were then one of the Great Houses of Mudinak. In 616, the great jungle dragon Molifaroxus Gravamaxim came from the Jade River Valley and attacked the city Mudinak, destroying large sections of it, and using the powerful hallucinogenic gas of his breath to drive the population into madness. Molifaroxus Gravamaxim offered to end his assault on the city for an outrageous price; half of all the wealth of the city in perpetuity, and that every family turn over the first born as sacrifice. As the Great Houses panicked, unable to negotiate with the dragon, Jamahal Jandhagosh challenged the dragon to single combat, and the proud dragon accepted. The battle lasted three days, and laid waste to a large section of the city. Both Jamahal Jandhagosh and Molifaroxus Gravamaxim were slain in the battle, but the city and her people were saved. Jamahal Jandhagosh is said to have ascended to the Celestial Realms. He is considered the patron saint of the city, and it is common to hear people in the city and region seal vows with his name. Many streets and buildings are also named for him.
