Earned Assets

During the character creation process, for each Life Cycle you pass through, you will accumulate a certain amount of disposable wealth that is based on your social status. This amount can be altered by the outcome of certain Life Events. Characters at the bottom of the social hierarchy are almost entirely incapable of accumulating wealth. Characters from the middle classes tend to accumulate a small amount of excess wealth as the years pass. Those from the upper classes and the nobility have so much wealth to begin with that their wealth continually grows.

These earned assets are distinct from the income your character makes plying their trade, and separate from their net worth; the necessities of life that they accrue over time, such as their home, their furniture, their housewares, or any livestock or other material assets. These earned assets are your 'rainy day' money - and they represent the starting assets your character has access to when you decide to exit character creation and go adventuring.

The table below indicates how much your character is able to set aside for each Life Cycle they spend in character creation. This amount may be altered based on the outcome of various Life Events. Keep a running total of this amount, and when you decide to exit character creation, the total becomes your starting assets: the amount of cash you have to spend on equipment and supplies.
