Civil Militia

 

A Civil Militia is local, registered armed force created for the defense of a city or town and the regions and infrastructure it oversees. For a large city, the Civil Militia may include hundreds of town guards to patrol and protect the city itself, along with multiple divisions and detachments to protect the major roads and bridges and other infrastructure leading to and from the city. Typically, a city is obligated to provide protection service anywhere they collect taxes or require tribute.
