Bank

Banks are factions whose principle purpose is to secure and manage the flow of money. Banks maintain enormous reserves of currency in a few main, centralized locations; usually a central treasury containing stacks of platinum and gold bars. Banks also maintain modest reserves of currency in smaller, regional offices. Banks can and do transport physical currency, but no matter how well secured, this is always a risk. Banks would far rather track accounts on paper and rebalance them locally without having to transport physical currency at all. Generally speaking, the larger the bank, the easier, and therefore more secure, and profitable this is.
