Vampire
Description:
Vampires are a powerful form of undead who have attained eternal life in exchange for a damned existence. The wiser among them have learned to control their impulses, and are often sophisticated, successful and wealthy, maintaining a secret existence, hidden among us even as they prey upon us.
Special:
Vampires are immune to normal weapons, poison, and disease though Blessed weapons do +25% damage to them. As Undead, their attacks are considered magical. Direct sunlight, does 1d6 damage to each of a vampire's derivatives for each turn they are exposed to it, and protection does not help.
Other:
There are several additional unique considerations when dealing with vampires:
Vampiric Curse: A vampire loses 1 point from a random derivative every day they do not feed, and their derivatives do not recover normally. The only way for a vampire to recover derivatives is to feed.
Feeding: Vampires huger for the blood of the living. If a victim is asleep, unconscious, or under the effects of Suggestion or Charm, feeding is performed as a basic action that cannot be defended against, otherwise the vampire must forcibly feed. This requires a successful bite attack, which entangles the victim, at which point a vampire can automatically apply its bite damage each turn the victim fails to escape. Feeding acts exactly as though the vampire has cast the Drain spell on the victim with a Skill of 18. Feeding drains whichever of the vampire’s derivatives is furthest from maximum, and a single victim can only be fed upon once per night. Vampires cannot feed on other vampires.
