Description:

A cockatrice is a chimeric creature that has the reptilian torso and tail of large crocodile, but with the taloned claws, wings and plumed head of a rooster. Some have argued that the cockatrice is not, in fact, a chimera, but is some sort of transitional species occupying the space between bird and reptile - and indeed, where the scales of the reptilian form give way the feathers of the bird-like form, they are often flanged, bristly, and brightly coloured. Similarly, where the feathers of the wings transition into the scales on the shoulders, the feathers are stouter, thicker, and more spiny.

Whatever they are, they are large, fast and dangerous. A cockatrice fights the way a rooster fights in a cock-fighting pit, leaping about erratically, screeching, snapping with its jagged beak and slashing with its sharp talons.

Special:

A cockatrice is a fast and erratic fighter that uses its incredible reflexes to control the movement of its opponents in combat.
