Chimera

Description:

The prototypical chimeric creature, usually simply referred to as a chimera, has the head and forelegs of a lion with the hindquarters and legs of a goat, and a goat's head protruding from its back. The creature's tail is that of a deadly serpent. The constant bleating of the goat head drives the lion head crazy, especially when hungry, as the lion cannot turn its own head far enough to see the goat - never mind eat it. When this creature, mad with rage, begins to circle itself trying to hunt and devour its own goat head, the serpent lashes and bites in all directions. To make matters worse; the lion head can also breathe fire.

These rage-fueled killing machines will attack and devour any living thing they see without hesitation, and will never flee or retreat.

Special:

A chimera is immune to all forms of venom and takes half damage from flame based attacks.


Chimeras breathe fire, and they can expend a point of Resolve to spray a cone of flame over a 30 degree arc, to a range of 13 hexes. Anyone in the cone may attempt to dodge or block if they have a large shield. If damage from this breath attack overcomes protection, the target is automatically put in the burning state.
