Fae Aeternus

Description:

Fae Aeternus are second only to the Fae Regency; the immortal Kings and Queens of all fairydom. These are extrodinarily powerful entities who embody the very forces of nature. Unlike similarly powerful entities among the Celestials and Infernals, the Fae Aeternus do not organize into a strict hierarchy - these are beings of chaos unconcerned with titles and formal structure. While the Fae Aeternus are less powerful than their Regents and more powerful than the Antiqus, Dominus or other, lesser fae, they do not generally serve in an organized chain of command. Different fae have differing goals - when these goals align across faedom, the fae will form together, when these goals are at odds, the fae will disperse. Certainly, when alignment among the powerful most orders of fae is strong, the lesser fae tend to fall in line.

Generally speaking, the Fae Aeturnus despise organized humanoid societies - particularly those that operate at scale with the aim of expansion and development. Directly striking out against such large, abstract organization is next to impossible for individuals - even those as powerful as the Fae Aeternus. Consequently, the Fae Aeturnus often resort to deception and treachery to undermine social structures, and they may adopt humanoid form, infiltrating humanoid societies in order to corrupt or undermine them.

Special:

Fae Aeternus are immune to normal weapons, poison and disease, though blessed weapons can damage them. Their own weapons and armour are considered magical. They can fly at will. Fae Aeternus are not immortal, and they can be destroyed, but they will never die of age or illness.
