Fallen

Description:

The Fallen are disgraced Celestials who have been cast out and are doomed to suffer in the Infernal Realms. Clad in black scaly armour, they are shrouded in darkness and shade, black tears always streaming down their faces. Unable to fly, the infected stumps of their severed wings protrude from their shoulder blades, cursed never to heal. The Fallen are tormented creatures full of spite and shame, who blame others for their failings, and seek vengeance against those who they themselves betrayed. They are hateful and cruel, and their only path to redemption is annihilation.

Special:

Fallen are immune to normal weapons, fire and poison, though Blessed weapons do +25% damage to them. Their own weapons and armour are considered magical. Their immunity to disease was taken from them when they were cast out. While they can transmit and be infected by diseases, they can never actually die from them. In a perversion of their former ability to emanate light as Celestials, Fallen can emanate darkness at will, as per the inverse of the Light Spell, and they are immune to the effects of darkness - magical or otherwise. The Fallen are not immortal, and can be destroyed, but they will never die of age.
