Angel

Description:

Angels are the ‘field commanders’ of the Celestial Legions. They are the Barons and Baronesses, and the Ladies and Lords of the Celestial Host, sworn in allegiance to their Arkangel rulers, and to the immortal Celestial Princes who command them. Angels serve in a constant political struggle; aspiring to power and divinity, but always on the verge of war. Many an Angel has overreached his or her station in aspiration to an epic victory, resulting in shame and disgrace - as often through a failure of command as through a terrible success not worth the bloody price paid to achieve it. Angels who are greatly disgraced may be cast from the Celestial sphere and transformed into Fallen. The true form of an Angel is that of an idealized humanoid - often malleable to some extent to the eyes of the perceiver - but always clothed in light and often winged. When in the material realms, Angels will often take other forms, appearing as ordinary people to obfuscate their intent.

Special:

Angels are immune to normal weapons, poison and disease, though weapons Blessed by Infernal worshipping Priests do +25% damage to them. Their own weapons and armour are considered magical. They can fly using their wings when in their natural form, and can emanate light from their bodies at will. This light cannot be used to attack or blind, but they are immune to the effects of darkness - magical or otherwise. Angels are not immortal, and can be destroyed, but they will never die of age or illness.
