Description:

Animated statues are pieces of ornamental statuary usually displayed as art or as decoration, but animated via magic. When animated, such a statue will move and fight in a similar fashion to the humanoid or creature it represents; humanoids will fight with weapons that are part of their statue, equestrian statues can be mounted and ridden, etc. Animated statues do not become stone or bronze versions of the thing they represent - they are simply moving statues. An animated statue of a dragon cannot breathe fire or fly, and an animated stone statue of a dolphin would rapidly sink.

Special:

Created by casting the Animate spell, an animated statue can be disabled by casting Dispel Magic and winning a Challenge against the caster who animated it. As mindless automata, they are immune to many magical effects including any spells or skills that affect the mind or the emotions, or any magic that drains or buffs Stats, Attributes or Derivatives. They take half damage from Shock or Frost, and are immune to Fire as well as poison, disease or any other physiological effects. They can see perfectly in total darkness.
