Animated Doll
Description:
An animated doll is simply a small children’s toy that has been brought to life by magically means. They are normally not very dangerous, but their innocuous nature means they can often take their opponents by surprise. Additionally, because of their small size, several are usually encountered at once.
Special:
Created by casting the Animate spell, animated dolls can be disabled by casting Dispel Magic and winning a Challenge against the caster who animated it. The Decay spell (if not resisted using Stability) will reduce the Protection of an animated dolle by 1 and do 3d6+1 points of damage to its Health. Additionally, if the caster or attacker succeeds a 21C using the Tailor skill, they can destroy the animated doll in one shot.
As mindless automata, they are immune to many magical effects including any spells or skills that affect the mind or the emotions, or any magic that drains or buffs Stats, Attributes or Derivatives. They are immune to poison and disease, but take double damage from fire. They can see perfectly in total darkness.
