Animated Armour
Description:
Animated armour is a suit of ordinary armour, usually plate armour, that might typically be found on display in a museum or as decoration in a castle. Animated armour is able to fight using whatever weapons it might possess, and can be a very dangerous opponent.
Special:
Created by casting the Animate spell, animated armour can be disabled by casting Dispel Magic and winning a Challenge against the caster who animated it.
An attack with the acid of an Iron Ant, or the Decay spell (if not resisted using Stability) will reduce the Protection of animated armour by 1 and do 3d6+1 points of damage to its Health. Additionally, if the caster or attacker succeeds a 21C using the Blacksmithing skill, they can identify key components, and the rolled damage will be doubled.
As mindless automata, they are immune to many magical effects including any spells or skills that affect the mind or the emotions, or any magic that drains or buffs Stats, Attributes or Derivatives. They are immune to poison, and disease, and do no take any additional damage from fire, shock or cold. They can see perfectly in total darkness.
