Description:

Moose, caribou, and other large hoofed and horned animals can be found in almost any biome. Most of the year, they will range widely in small family units, grazing or browsing for food and raising young. When migratory seasons come, these small units can coalesce into enormous herds - sometimes numbering in the tens of thousands - and can cross huge distances in search of greener pastures. As meat, such animals are a prized and necessary part of any humanoid society, and they are hunted anywhere where they roam. In more civilized regions, the hunting of these animals may be regulated by kings or other governing bodies, both to protect their numbers and also to provide food security. These animals normally avoid humanoids, but they are extremely powerful, and can be a serious threat when scared or angered.
