Description:

Storm giants are the most fearsome of all giant-kind, but also the least frequently encountered. They live only on the highest mountaintops, or on the most remote and storm-tossed islands. They are highly intelligent, and carry centuries of forgotten knowledge and lore - some say they are immortal and were there at the birth of the world. Storm giants have tempestuous personalities and are quick to anger. Quests to ask the storm giants about some ancient, arcane secret usually end badly. As the most magically inclined of giants, they are able to cast a range of spells.

Special:

Storm Giants are immune to all non-magical weapons, and are immune to all the effects of inclement weather, extreme cold, and lightning. They can breathe underwater.

Storm Giants can a range of spells. These spells behave as normal, but are themed around turbulent forces that surround them; wind, water, cold, and electricity.

Variants:

Storm giants are enormous - towering to over 7 meters in height when fully grown. They have pale skin and black eyes, and their teeth and nails seem to be of polished steel. Their hair and beards are white, sometimes with a faint greenish tint, and whips freely around as though constantly tossed by an unseen storm. They crackle with electricity when they move.

Adult

Adult storm giants are the wardens of their storm tossed regions, and are by far the most commonly encountered type of storm giant. They will intercept those foolish enough to venture in the direction of their territory and warn them away. Unheeded warnings will be met with sudden extreme violence.

Juvenile

Juvenile storm giants are spoken of only in legend - if the rumours that storm giants are eternal and immortal, there may indeed not even be any juveniles.

Laird

The storm giant lairds reside deep within the storm tossed regions whose edges are patrolled by adults storm giants. These rulers of chaos are said to have seen the birth of the universe, and to know how it will end. Regardless of whether these myths are true, storm giant laird is more than just a 'creature' - it is a living force of nature not to be trifled with.
